Andrew Bestwick

Director of Quantum Device Architecture Rigetti Computing

Andrew Bestwick is the Director of Quantum Architecture at Rigetti Computing. He and his team develop the technology roadmap and design of Rigetti's scalable, high-performance superconducting qubit processors. Earlier at Rigetti he started the chip fabrication team, which built the world's first dedicated superconducting quantum processor foundry. Previously, he received a physics PhD from Stanford University, where his thesis work on electron transport in topological materials confirmed precise conductance quantization in the quantum anomalous Hall effect, and worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company.
