Jon Allcock

Senior Researcher Tencent Quantum Laboratory

Jon is a Senior Researcher in the Tencent Quantum Laboratory, where he works on investigating practical applications of quantum computing for machine learning, material design and chemistry.  He received his PhD from the University of Bristol in 2010 under the supervision of Prof. Noah Linden, and then spent 5 years working at the strategy consulting firm BTS.   He returned to quantum research as a post-doctoral fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong before joining the Tencent team at the beginning of 2018.
